As I mentioned before in a previous post, you as yourself are your most important tool when finding a job. If you wonder what I mean then you must be eager to find a job. When looking for a job, employers are more interested in you as a possible candidate if they can either match a face with a name or from hearing from you personally. The idea in this all is to basically sell yourself to any employer. Make them want you more then you want them. A easy way to do this and now you don't have to be a genius to do so, is to speak highly of your self in a professional manner. When I call to see if people are hiring, I say, " Hi my Norman Pelletier and I was wondering if you have any job opportunities available". Now if they simply say they are not hiring a simple "Thank you, have a nice day", will do fine. Since a employer runs a business you can say that there is a professional stand point in the hiring process. When calling to check up on the status of your application ,you should always first say who you are so that they dont have to ask you after, and you should basically dont take no for an answer. A couple of years ago. I applied for a truck driving position and they said that they would call me if they were interested. Now i never wait for anyone to call me. i usually give it a day or two and then i call back. Now this particulur employer said that they were still interviewing, but for three weeks of interviewing, told me that they were not as focused on hiring someone as i was wanting the job. So every two or three days I would just give them a ring, and soon enough i got a phone call back to start the following week. Now I can clearly say that they must of interviewed tons of people within those three weeks and i can also say that there were probably people more qualified for the position. So my strength in getting hired is to be persistent and always follow up no matter what the employer is telling you.

Need help finding a job welcome aboard
Man the back stabbing pain of finding a job in this rock bottom economy is not so easy. With so many layoffs and not enough job openings, finding a job may be as hard as finding a needle in a hay stack. I have been unemployed for two months but have had plenty of jobs in the past. When you need help finding a job then you have found the right place. Finding a job isn't as easy as 1,2,3 but with persistence and a great attitude you may find yourself landing a job in not time with these easy to follow steps. For one all the websites that are designed for job openings have a repetitive submission of jobs that aren't always hiring. The trick is when you are looking for a job is to for one know what kinds of jobs you qualify for. if you know what you automatically qualify for then you should keyword in your field of work and write down a few jobs that you may be interested in. Make sure you write down the phone number so you can call them after you have made your list. By doing this you save time in applying for jobs that in return aren't even looking to hire. Another way you can accumulate some jobs offers, is to figure out how far your willing to travel. The reason i suggest this, is that the gas prices are soaring and if you work 30 miles away and only make 8.50 a hour then it isn't really worth the trip. Now any job is better then none in all cases but if you work say a job like a just said then you should look for a better opportunity for the near future. Now if you live by a bus line you can look for jobs that are on a bus route in the case that you don't have reliable transportation but by utilizing the bus as a way to get to work you can tell your employer that you do in fact have reliable transportation. Another idea when looking for a job is if you say live in Hartford ct, then just go on google maps and type in stores in Hartford ct and just call everyone to see if they are hiring. In the means that you can't find a job a job agency may be the way to go as they can offer short term long term and temp to hire jobs that you qualify for. I have worked with Kelly Services a few times and if a job isn't the best fit for you, they will always find you a other opportunity. As for the desperate people dying for a job don't look for any of those get rich schemes or make 75hr jobs from home online because trust me they aren't really what they say they are. I have tried project payday and yes it does work but it takes hours or even day just to make 50 dollars and you have to sign up for all these offers and sometimes they cost money. Now if you decide to go this way cancel any free trial offers after you make your money because if you don't your going to end up paying a 14.95 monthly fee like freecreditreport.com does. So with all the resources on the internet my suggestion on looking for a job is mainly focused on the old school way. Use the internet for a limited time and just either get on the phone or go door to door. Now one way how i have gotten most of my jobs is when i did apply i would wait a few business days and then i would call the employer. They sometimes say they are still doing interviews but just keep on calling because this way they will know that your interested in the job. For jobs that don't have a human resource number or even a number at all for the matter you should reapply every week. Some places like banks have 100 applications a day and they take for ever to call if they are interested in pursuing you as a possible candidate for hire. Another important tool when applying for jobs is your way of speaking in terms on a professional level. I will write more on another post about this topic
